5 More Notorious Robbers Arrested in Daring Heist at East Ichai Lalchhara Village, North District — Arms, Ammunition & Loot Recovered

In a major breakthrough, five more notorious robbers have been arrested in connection with a daring robbery in East Ichai Lalchhara village under Kadamtala in North Tripura district. The arrests were made during a special police operation carried out early Thursday morning.

With these latest arrests, the total number of individuals held in connection with the case has risen to eight. The earlier arrest of three suspects had provided crucial leads that helped the police track down the remaining culprits.

During the operation, police recovered a country-made firearm, nine live cartridges, multiple sharp weapons, looted gold ornaments, and other stolen items.

A special team comprising officers from the district police and Kadamtala Police Station was formed to crack the case. The five newly arrested individuals have been identified as:

Panki Miah (39) Abdul Kayes (40) Roshan Ali (34) Enam Uddin (24) Rahim Ali (23)

All of them are residents of areas under Kadamtala and Churaibari police stations.

The successful arrests have brought a sense of relief to the local population, who had been shaken by the audacity of the crime. The police have assured that efforts are ongoing to bring any remaining suspects to justice.
