A shocking incident has emerged from Chinnaikami under Jirania police station in Tripura, where a minor tribal girl allegedly became the victim of her own grandfather’s perverse intentions. The accused has been identified as Gobinda Rupini.
According to police sources, the incident took place on Sunday night. Family sources revealed that the accused, Gobinda Rupini, is the girl’s grandfather. Locals, upon learning about the incident, immediately informed the police. Acting swiftly, Jirania police reached the spot and apprehended the accused.
The minor is currently undergoing treatment at Champaknagar Hospital.
The incident has sparked outrage in the local community. Police have registered a case against the accused under the POCSO Act and have begun a detailed investigation.
