Heading: BJP Strengthens ADC Poll Strategy with Key Defection and Full Candidate List

Date:

In a significant political shift ahead of the 2026 TTAADC elections, former TNV leader Ananta Debbarma has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after leaving Tipra Motha, adding momentum to the party’s campaign in tribal regions.

Soon after his induction, Debbarma was named as the BJP candidate from the Holahali–Asharambari (ST) constituency, indicating the party’s strategic focus on influential tribal leaders. Another leader, Rajesh Tripura, who also switched from Tipra Motha, has been fielded as a BJP nominee.

Alongside these developments, the BJP has officially released its complete list of 28 candidates for the upcoming TTAADC polls. Most sitting party members have been renominated, with only a few constituencies seeing changes.

Party sources confirmed that nomination filings are set to begin immediately, marking the formal start of BJP’s election push. Political observers believe that such high-profile defections and candidate selections could play a crucial role in shaping the electoral battle in Tripura’s tribal areas.
