
Udaipur, Tripura — Tension flared up in the Rajnagar-Bhubaneswari Temple area of Udaipur on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha following reports of alleged cow slaughter in public view. In protest, several people reportedly resorted to vandalism, damaging houses and vehicles, leading to a tense situation in the locality.
To control the situation and prevent further escalation, senior law enforcement officials including Tripura’s Superintendent of Police Kulwant Singh, SDPO Nirman Das, TSR 5th Battalion Commandant Jyotishman Das Choudhury, and other senior officers from Tripura State Rifles (TSR), CRPF, and state police forces rushed to the spot.
According to SP Kulwant Singh, the situation is currently under control, and police forces are deployed to ensure peace and prevent any further disturbances. Authorities have urged the public to maintain harmony and refrain from spreading rumors. An investigation into the incident is underway.
