TSR Jawan Among Three Caught Smuggling Ganja in Churaibari

In a shocking incident, a Tripura State Rifles (TSR) jawan was caught allegedly involved in ganja smuggling. The arrest took place around 10 PM on Tuesday night near the Krishna Kali Temple in Ward No. 2 of Govindpur village under Churaibari Police Station.

Three individuals — Ranjit Singh, Surjit Singh, and Shubhajit Singh — were apprehended along with a vehicle loaded with ganja. All three hail from the same locality in Govindpur village. Notably, Ranjit Singh is currently serving in the 12th Battalion of TSR and is posted in Chakmaghat, Teliamura.

Police have launched a detailed investigation into the case to uncover the extent of the smuggling network and possible links to others involved.
