A mysterious death of a housewife in Dharmanagar has sparked widespread tension and speculation. The incident occurred late Wednesday night in the Shivbari Road area of the town. The deceased has been identified as Pushpita Chowdhury, aged 29.
According to her husband, the tragic incident was a result of her own actions. However, the woman’s family has alleged that it was a premeditated murder. In connection with the case, police have detained Pushpita’s husband, Bitan Chakraborty, and her brother-in-law, Basudev Chakraborty, for questioning.
Around 2 a.m. on Wednesday night, Bitan reportedly brought Pushpita to the North District Hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. A formal complaint has been filed with the local police station, and an investigation is currently underway.
