Seven Villages Cut Off: 9.8 KM Road in Shambles from Sarde Char Mile to Pushparam Para

Date:

Residents of seven villages under Ambassa Block are facing extreme hardship due to the dilapidated condition of a 9.8-kilometer stretch of road from Sarde Char Mile to Pushparam Para. The locals have long been demanding the development of this crucial route, but their appeals have fallen on deaf ears.

Despite submitting memorandums to both the District Magistrate (DM) and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), no repair work has been initiated. A signboard bearing the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) logo is displayed beside the road, suggesting development under the central scheme, but no actual progress has been made on the ground.

Promises have been made repeatedly, but the residents say those promises remain unfulfilled. The condition of the road has become so bad that it is now almost impossible for vehicles to access the area—posing a serious threat during medical emergencies, as ambulances or other transport cannot reach patients in time.

The people of these seven villages continue to suffer due to administrative apathy and failed infrastructure development.
