Ahmedabad witnessed a chilling incident this week after a schoolyard quarrel turned deadly. A Class 8 student has been accused of stabbing and killing a Class 10 boy near a school in Khokhara on Tuesday, sparking outrage among locals and parents.
According to police, the accused carried a knife to school and attacked the older student following a heated argument. Eyewitnesses said the victim, despite being gravely injured, attempted to run for help but collapsed on the road shortly after. He was rushed to the hospital, where he died on Wednesday morning.
The case took a more disturbing turn when investigators discovered a conversation between the accused and one of his friends shortly after the attack. In the leaked chat, the friend confronted the accused and said, “You should not have gone so far. Beating was enough, but killing was wrong.” The accused reportedly responded, “What’s done is done.” The friend even advised him to go underground and delete their messages.
The revelation of this conversation has intensified anger among parents, who gathered outside the school demanding strict action. Many accused the school authorities of negligence, blaming them for failing to prevent such violence inside the premises. The protest soon turned chaotic, with some groups vandalizing school property before police intervened to restore order.
The minor accused has since been arrested, and police say they are carefully analyzing the recovered digital evidence, including the controversial chat, to understand the motive behind the crime.
The tragic incident has not only shocked Ahmedabad but also raised serious concerns about student safety and rising aggression among schoolchildren.
