Anger Mounts Against ONGC! Villagers Protest Over 14-Year-Old Road Damage in Khedabari

Date:

Residents of Khedabari in Sonamura have staged a protest at the main gate of ONGC’s CGS Centre, demanding urgent repair of the severely damaged road in West Para. The deteriorated condition of the road is being blamed on continuous soil excavation linked to the ONGC project, which has been operational in the area for the past 14 years.

Local farmers and residents claim they have suffered immense inconvenience and agricultural losses due to the poor road condition. Despite repeated petitions and deputations to the authorities, no remedial action has been taken. On Thursday, the agitated locals once again submitted a deputation demanding immediate repairs. They warned that if no action is taken within the next four days, they will launch a larger agitation.
