Providing details about the operation, Sadar SDPO Debaprasad Roy informed that upon receiving the complaint, an FIR was registered, and a special investigation team was constituted under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge Paritosh Das. The team began a detailed investigation, which led to the identification and tracking of suspects involved in the theft.

On the night of Thursday, police conducted multiple raids across different locations and successfully apprehended five accused persons. The stolen batteries were recovered during these operations. The accused were presented before the court on Friday, where the police sought three days of remand for further interrogation.
