Date:

Agartala: Continuous heavy rainfall has led to a noticeable rise in the water level of the Howrah River. Although the river is currently flowing below the danger mark, several low-lying areas in and around Agartala are experiencing flood-like conditions.

Local authorities have confirmed that, so far, no significant damage has been reported. However, residents in vulnerable zones have been advised to remain cautious. The district administration has deployed disaster response teams and is closely monitoring the situation to ensure public safety.

Efforts are underway to assess the areas most affected and to provide any necessary support or evacuation if conditions worsen.
