Honesty Prevails: Lost Bag Containing ₹1.44 Lakh and Mobile Phone Returned in Agartala

In a world often clouded by self-interest, acts of integrity still shine through. Such an inspiring incident unfolded on Tuesday in Agartala city, where a man chose honesty over temptation.

Around 12 PM on Monday, a person named Samir Majumdar arrived at the West Police Station in Agartala carrying two bags. He informed the police that he had found them abandoned on the roadside. Upon opening the bags, the police discovered ₹1.44 lakh in cash and a mobile phone inside.

Further investigation revealed that the belongings belonged to a man named Samir Baidya, who had fallen ill and was rushed to the hospital. During the commotion, he had accidentally misplaced his bag.

Thanks to Samir Majumdar’s kind-heartedness and sense of duty, the lost items were returned. In a heartwarming moment, the police at West Police Station handed over the bag to its rightful owner, Samir Baidya, in the presence of the honest finder.

This incident serves as a powerful reminder that good Samaritans still walk among us, keeping the spirit of humanity alive.
