Patna: Security agencies have sounded a high alert across Bihar after intelligence inputs confirmed that three Jaish-e-Mohammed militants infiltrated into the state through Nepal.
The militants have been identified as Hasnain Ali from Rawalpindi, Adil Hussain from Umerkot, and Mohammad Usman from Bahawalpur, all residents of Pakistan. According to intelligence reports, the trio arrived in Kathmandu during the second week of August before crossing into Bihar.
Photographs of the suspects have been released, and state police have launched a massive search operation. District police chiefs have been instructed to intensify checks, particularly in border areas including Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Supaul, Araria, and East and West Champaran.
Officials said the porous 729-kilometre India-Nepal border poses a major security challenge. Citizens have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.
