Guwahati, July 3, 2025:
Train services in the Lumding-Badarpur hill section of Northeast Frontier Railway have been severely disrupted following a landslide that occurred this evening between Dihakho and Mupa stations (KM-51/2-3). The incident has led to the suspension of rail traffic in the affected section, prompting a series of train cancellations, partial cancellations, rescheduling, and regulation of services.
According to a press release issued by the Chief Public Relations Officer of N.F. Railway, senior railway officials have rushed to the site to oversee restoration work. The track will remain closed until the removal of boulders and debris is completed. Help desks have been set up at Guwahati, Lumding, Silchar, Badarpur, and Agartala stations to assist stranded passengers.
