Landslide Disrupts Train Services in Lumding-Badarpur Hill Section

Train services in the Lumding-Badarpur hill section of Northeast Frontier Railway have been severely disrupted following a landslide that occurred this evening between Dihakho and Mupa stations (KM-51/2-3). The incident has led to the suspension of rail traffic in the affected section, prompting a series of train cancellations, partial cancellations, rescheduling, and regulation of services.

According to a press release issued by the Chief Public Relations Officer of N.F. Railway, senior railway officials have rushed to the site to oversee restoration work. The track will remain closed until the removal of boulders and debris is completed. Help desks have been set up at Guwahati, Lumding, Silchar, Badarpur, and Agartala stations to assist stranded passengers.

Partially Cancelled Train:

Train No. 15618 Dullabcherra–Guwahati (03.07.2025) – Cancelled between New Haflong and Guwahati

Rescheduled Train:

Train No. 12508 Silchar–Thiruvananthapuram Central Express (03.07.2025) rescheduled to start at 08:00 hrs on 04.07.2025

Regulated Trains:

Train No. 13174 Sabroom–Sealdah Kanchanjunga Express (03.07.2025) – Will return to New Haflong and be regulated Train No. 12520 Agartala–LTT Express (03.07.2025) – Regulated at New Haflong Train No. 15616 Silchar–Guwahati Express (03.07.2025) – Regulated at Mupa Train No. 14619 Agartala–Firozpur Cantt. Passengers have been advised to check the latest updates before commencing their journey. The N.F. Railway has assured that restoration work is underway and all efforts are being made to resume normal train operations at the earliest.
