Date:

In a high-stakes joint operation carried out early Thursday morning, the police of Yatrapur Police Station, along with the BSF personnel from the Shalpukur BOP, seized a massive cache of illegal narcotics in the Bashpukur area under Yatrapur jurisdiction.

Around 14,000 Yaba tablets were recovered during the raid, with an estimated market value exceeding ₹1 crore. The operation was led by Yatrapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sitikanta Barman in coordination with officials from the concerned BSF camp.

A suspicious vehicle without a valid number plate was also seized during the operation. Authorities suspect the vehicle was being used for drug trafficking. The investigation is currently underway to trace those involved in the smuggling network.
