The mystery surrounding the disappearance of Shariful Islam, a young man from Indranagar in Agartala, has taken a grim turn after his body was recovered from a deep freezer inside a betel shop in Narayanpur, Gandacherra. The shocking incident has rocked the state, raising serious questions about safety and law enforcement.

According to police sources, a total of six people have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder. Among those arrested are two women and four men. The arrests were made by officials of the NCC Police Station after a swift and intensive investigation.

Speaking to the media, West Tripura Superintendent of Police, Dr. Kiran Kumar K., confirmed the arrests and shared preliminary findings of the case. “This was a planned murder. The victim was killed and his body was hidden inside a freezer to conceal the crime,” the SP stated.

The motive behind the murder is still under investigation, though police suspect personal enmity or a financial dispute may have played a role. Forensic teams have already examined the crime scene and collected vital evidence.

The body of Shariful Islam had been missing for several days before it was discovered late last night, following a tip-off. The local community remains in shock as police continue to dig deeper into what appears to be a well-planned conspiracy.

More updates are awaited as the investigation unfolds.
