Tragic Incident in Agartala: Three Teenagers Drown in Research Centre Pond

A heart-wrenching incident unfolded in the capital city of Agartala, where three teenage boys tragically drowned while bathing in a pond located at the Arundhutinagar Agricultural Research Centre.

The deceased have been identified as Shubhajit Dey, Bobby Shukla Das, and Shubham Deb. According to eyewitness accounts, a local youth named Palash Karmakar noticed the incident and managed to rescue one of the boys. However, the boy tragically passed away on the way to the hospital in an ambulance.

Following the alert, fire service personnel arrived at the scene and recovered the remaining two teenagers, who were also declared dead.

The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the entire locality, with residents mourning the untimely loss of the young lives.
