In a heartbreaking incident, Kartik Das, a school teacher at Madhya Ghaniamara S.B. School, lost his life in a road accident while returning home from work. The incident occurred on Monday in the Golaghati Kalibari area under Takarjala police station.
According to sources, Kartik Das was riding his scooter back home when a Bolero vehicle carrying a load of rubber rammed into him and fled the scene. The collision proved fatal, and the teacher died on the spot.
Fire service personnel from Bishalgarh later arrived at the scene and rushed the victim to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital, where the attending doctors declared him dead. The incident has left the local community in deep shock and mourning. Police have launched an investigation to trace the absconding vehicle.
