Tragic End: Elephant Struck Dead by Lightning in Tripura Village

In a heart-wrenching incident, an elephant lost its life after being struck by lightning in Dokkai Kami, a remote area under South Maharani ADC Village in the Mungiakami RD Block of Tripura.

The tragic discovery was made on Friday after local residents alerted the authorities. A medical team along with concerned forest officials promptly rushed to the spot.

Initial observations suggest that the elephant may have died two to three days prior to being found. The loss has cast a shadow of sorrow over the local community, who expressed deep grief over the untimely and unfortunate death of the majestic animal.
