Tripura Chapter of Indian Psychiatric Society Organizes Awareness Rally on International Day Against Drug Abuse

On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Tripura chapter of the Indian Psychiatric Society organized a city-wide awareness rally in Agartala on Wednesday.

The rally commenced from the premises of Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan and traversed through key areas of the city before culminating back at the starting point. The event witnessed active participation from various dignitaries, including Dr. Tapan Majumdar, Director of the State Health Department, along with several senior officials and members of the Psychiatric Society.

The primary objective of the rally was to raise awareness among people from all walks of life about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage collective efforts in building a socially resilient response against substance misuse. The organizers emphasized the need for continued public education and community engagement to combat this growing menace effectively.
