Tripura Police Day by Day Becoming a Joke: Father-Son Attacked, ₹11.5 Lakh Looted in Broad Daylight

Tripura, Bishalghar : In a shocking incident that has sparked widespread outrage, a father and son were brutally attacked in broad daylight and robbed of ₹11.5 lakh at Gokulnagar More, under the Bishalgarh subdivision of Tripura.

The victims, identified as Harez Miah and his son Sagar Miah, residents of Matinagar, were returning home after selling a plot of land in Nabingar, Bishalgarh. They were carrying ₹11.5 lakh in cash when a group of miscreants intercepted them. The attackers, armed with sharp weapons, assaulted both father and son mercilessly before fleeing with the money.

Harez Miah sustained severe injuries to his chest and head and is currently in critical condition. His son also suffered injuries during the assault. The police from Bishalgarh Police Station have launched an investigation into the matter, but no arrests have been made yet.

The incident has triggered massive public outcry and raised serious concerns about the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. Citizens are openly questioning the efficiency and credibility of Tripura Police, with many saying the force is “turning into a joke” as crime continues to rise unchecked.

Locals are demanding swift justice and immediate action against the culprits, while also urging the administration to ensure better security and police presence in vulnerable areas
