Two Drug Peddlers Nabbed with 1,800 Yaba Tablets in Auto Near Dharmanagar

In a major crackdown on illegal narcotics, Dharmanagar police arrested two drug peddlers with a large cache of Yaba tablets. The incident took place near Trimukhi, adjacent to Dharmanagar Police Station.

The accused have been identified as Ashish Chakma (27) and Bishal Chakma (28), both residents of Nabinchhara area in Unakoti district. Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted an electric auto bearing registration number TR-05-A-2842. Upon conducting a thorough search, officers found nine small packets containing a total of 1,800 banned Yaba tablets.

According to the Officer-in-Charge of Dharmanagar Police Station, the duo has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway to trace the supply network.
