From Building Dreams to Destroying Them: The Tragic End of a Promising Tennis Star

Date:

Haryana’s national-level tennis player, Radhika Yadav, had taken her first steps into the world of tennis holding the hand of her father, Deepak Yadav. It was Deepak who nurtured her dream, guiding her through training, competitions, and every aspect of her sporting journey. He even helped establish a tennis training center to support her career. But the man who once shaped her dreams with his own hands, ultimately shattered them in the most horrifying way—by taking her life.

Born on March 23, 2000, in Gurugram, Haryana, Radhika studied at a reputed English-medium school and completed her Class XII with Commerce in 2018. From a very young age, she had shown a deep interest in tennis—a passion her father wholeheartedly encouraged and supported.

At just 25 years of age, Radhika was ranked among Haryana’s top five female tennis players. In November 2024, she held a doubles ranking of 113 in the International Tennis Federation (ITF). Over the course of her career, she participated in 57 tournaments, winning 18 gold medals—an impressive feat that brought pride not only to her family but to the state.

According to family members and acquaintances, Radhika was a hardworking and determined athlete. After sustaining a shoulder injury, she had taken a brief break from professional play. Recently, she had opened a tennis training center for children, which was reportedly doing well. Confident and passionate, Radhika had found new purpose in training young players and was managing the center successfully alongside her household responsibilities.

Despite being the pillar of hope and pride for her family, something inexplicable led to a tragic turn of events—her father, the very man who supported her every step of the way, became the one who ended her life. The question that now haunts everyone who knew her is: What went so wrong that a father would destroy the very dream he once helped build?

As investigators and loved ones search for answers, Radhika’s heartbreaking story stands as a grim reminder of how dreams can be crushed by the very hands that once nurtured them.
