Four Bangladeshi Nationals Detained at Agartala Railway Station While Attempting to Travel Illegally to Delhi

Agartala, June 8: Acting on a tip-off, a joint team comprising the Agartala Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF), and the intelligence wing conducted a coordinated operation and detained four Bangladeshi nationals from Agartala Railway Station.

According to official sources, the individuals had illegally crossed the international border from Bangladesh into India. Their intention was to board a train from Agartala and travel to other Indian states, with Delhi as their stated destination during preliminary interrogation.

The detained individuals have been identified as:

  1. Md. Billal (47), resident of Bagerhat district, Bangladesh
  2. Salma Begam (38), resident of Bagerhat district, Bangladesh
  3. Md. Naeem (08), resident of Bagerhat district, Bangladesh
  4. Md. Ali (06), resident of Bagerhat district, Banglades.

The authorities have initiated legal procedures, and the detainees will be produced before the Hon’ble Court tomorrow for further judicial proceedings. Investigations are currently underway to determine the full scope of their activities and whether a larger network is involved in facilitating such illegal movements.
