A significant fire broke out in the early hours of May 29 at the Maharajganj Bazaar, one of the largest and busiest marketplaces in Agartala. The incident occurred around midnight, engulfing several shops in flames and causing panic among traders and local residents.
According to eyewitnesses, thick smoke and flames were first noticed at one corner of the market. The fire spread quickly, affecting multiple shops before fire services arrived.
