MP Biplab Kumar Deb Visits Flood-Affected Areas in Agartala, Assures Support to Victims

Agartala, June 2: Amid heavy rainfall in the state, former Tripura Chief Minister and current Member of Parliament, Biplab Kumar Deb, arrived in Agartala today to assess the situation in flood-affected areas under the Agartala Municipal Corporation.

During his visit, Mr. Deb toured several waterlogged localities and interacted with residents who have been affected by the downpour. He also inspected relief camps that have been set up to shelter those displaced by the floods.

“I am with the people of Tripura,” Mr. Deb said while speaking to the media. “It is for the sake of the state’s people that I am here today.”

Accompanied by local MLA Ratan Chakraborty, the MP visited the Khayerpur-Chandpur region, where they distributed relief materials to those in need at the Akshay Kumar JB School, which has been converted into a temporary shelter.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation as more rainfall is expected over the next few days. Relief operations are ongoing to ensure timely aid and safety for all affected residents.
