Shocking Incident in Teliamura: Man Attacked with Hot Water Over Unpaid Tea Bill

Teliamura, July 4: In a shocking and unusual incident, a man named Bapan Das was attacked with hot water by a tea vendor after allegedly failing to clear a pending tea bill.

According to local sources, Bapan Das had previously consumed tea on credit at a roadside stall near the Koroilong petrol pump area in Teliamura. Instead of paying his dues, he reportedly went to a different tea stall for another cup of tea. This infuriated the previous tea vendor, identified as Jibon Das, who confronted Bapan and allegedly poured hot water on him in a fit of rage.

Bapan Das sustained burn injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

The incident has sparked outrage among locals, with many expressing concern over the increasing aggression in daily interactions. Police have been informed and are investigating the matter. Further action is expected against the accused tea seller.
