We Don’t Want to Disturb the Public, But If Anything Happens, the Government Will Be Held Responsible” – YTF

Date:

Tripura, 3 June : The YTF (Youth Tipra Federation), a wing of the Tipra Motha Party, has issued a stern warning to the Chief Minister, demanding immediate action against Gomati District Magistrate Tarit Chakma. In a press conference, YTF President Suraj Debbarma stated that the state government has been given a seven-day ultimatum.

If no action is taken within this period, the YTF will call for a complete shutdown (Tripura Bandh) across the state — a situation comparable to the lockdown days during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“When ego comes, thansa (unity) ends here,” said Suraj Debbarma, stressing that this is not just an issue of justice, but a matter of deep sentiment for the people. He further warned the government in strong words: “We don’t want to disturb the local people, but if something happens, the entire liability will lie with the Government of Tripura.”

He issued the threat like no one has before — direct, intense, and uncompromising.
