Acting on a tip-off, police from NCC Police Station conducted a raid in the Goala Basti area and arrested a man named Ranjan Kumar Roy. During the operation, police recovered 1,100 grams of dry cannabis (ganja) and a large number of empty drug containers from his possession. Notably, Ranjan Roy had previously been arrested under the Arms Act.
In a separate incident, police apprehended two individuals in connection with a theft case. The accused, identified as Maran Debbarma and Prabhat Dhanuk, were caught for stealing cement and other construction materials from a construction site in the Kumari Tilla area. Both cases are currently under investigation.
